Gildarts Clive is probably the strongest mage in all of the show. We cannot really explain what his power is, but his strength is reminiscent in the way we feel when see All Might in the other anime My Hero Academia. Whenever he appears, no matter how strong and scary the opponent is, you can always count on him to save the day.
Makarov Dreyar is the master of this insane guild. His magic is mostly about him transforming into a titan and wreaking havoc everywhere, but then there are times when he just wields some sort of god like power and simply decimates everything and everyone that hurts his children. He may not be their biological father, but no one can deny that he was the paternal figure in this guild.
Is it karma? Because he had done so much sin as a pirate when he got the body of an adult? Is it because this is supposed to be his repentance? To keep on losing beloved people? Or because he is the son of the most hated man back in his old life?
He stopped caring. He thought he was going to stop living too, if not for the light that came in the form of his baby sister. He never had any sisters in his past. So now, he was going to work hard so he does not lose her too.
