The Emergence of 4G this Year

By Beau Harrold

The mobile phone industry has been evolving rapidly in the past few years due to a high demand of higher quality web browsing. Third generation or 3G mobile phone technology, was known to be one of the best technology upgrades as it presented the idea of having very fast internet with Wifi. Once again, technology is about to take another leap forward with the next. Many people are now waiting for the arrival of the much anticipated 4G in 2013.

News of this technological advancement has been spreading really quickly even when it was in its initial stages. Now, a number of countries have been attempting to obtaing this development so that they can meet the increasing demands of their consumers. Even though many are rushing to get this next generation technology, the United Kingdom seems to be doing things slowly by trying to perfect it first so that it is less sensitive to flaws.

As expected, the speed of the internet connection will go up which means quicker downloads, faster uploads, and much quicker browsing for everyone. Also, with the new advancement in internet connection, one may now be able to watch movies online in high definition without slowing down the connection. Behind us are the times where we would have to wait long hours for the movie to load.

Indeed the strength of the connection will also become stronger as well. Normally, if one were to connect to the internet via Wifi, one would have to be at most ten miles away from it. With the new 4G technology, the signal could reach even approximately three miles or more.

Security is another issue that has been resolved by the brand new technological developments of the fourth generation. Usually, when one connects to the internet of another person via Wifi, one is at risk of having their personal details taken. The new 4G defends these users from possible data theft.

Fourth Generation is made to be so powerful that it can even endure bad weather. It is a common problem that the internet connection is slow during storms and such. However, with this advancement, harsh weather will not be an issue.

One can visibly see that the future is rosy for the next generation of technological advancements in communications. A very important thing to know before the official adaption of 4G is that the US and the United Kingdom do not use identical operators. The problem with having different operators is that there are features in the US version that the UK version does not have and vice versa. In the United Kingdom, the operator for 4G is LTE while in the United States, it is Wimax. The only difference between them is that LTE has more options to limit bandwidth than Wimax.

Please take note that the formal release date is not stated so everyone should just patiently wait for any further notifications. The only sure thing is that people will be using 4G in 2013. So just wait a little longer as one of the main technological advancements is imminent.
