Parents knows whether or not a child is ready for something. Of course, this is going to occur at all different ages depending on the child itself, but a parent knows - they have that intuition. Because of this, deciding whether to purchase an iPad or not for our grandson wasn't something that required a lot of thought. Having used Apple products over the years, I've grown to trust in their gadgets and knew that the two would be a good fit. Apple makes easy-to-use products, which are capable of withstanding quite a deal (including the occasional drop!) - these two factors played an important role in our decision about our grandson using an iPad.
Purchasing an iPad for a two-year-old might seem a bit far-fetched to some. We considered it for a week, even though the answer seemed obvious. We've been using technology from Apple for a while now: Macs, iPods, iPhones, and our personal iPad. We've had just about everything that they've put out onto the market, and have always had a good experience. So we decided to buy one just for him, although there were some things that needed to be done first.
I began researching iPad use for toddlers after the thought of my grandson using the iPad had been weighing on my mind. My quest began by researching the educational apps available, which proved to be quite the task for the currently untrained eye. My search yielded some undesirable results including in app purchases, inappropriate ads, etc. I spent a great deal of time adding apps to his iPad before I gave it to him.
He jumped with joy and his enthusiasm touched the skies...I just can't forget that moment! To give him an intro, I slid the screen to unlock it and then it was all his. He did not have a look at any other thing, except his favorite, icon with a red plane. For more than a year, now he simply enjoys the iPad, as soon as he is back from the preschool and on the holidays. Quite a cool deal for his joy, isn't it?
Thanks to this experience, I started a website where I could post reviews on iPad apps that would be educational for younger children. For each app, we include three or four videos that feature the app in use, to give an idea on what it's like and if it's a good fit for your child. We want to provide parents the opportunity to see for themselves what we've already done by giving a toddler an iPad.
The motive behind this website is to inform parents about the best educational apps on iPad and reduce their efforts, while save their time on researching all of them.
For a child to be successful they must be equipped with only the most current technology. Since governments and schools are going to end up using iPads, it is best that our children be ready.
An iPad is the perfect thing for a child. It has a large amount of storage space, perfect for storing all of those apps that your kids will love. And as schools too start to upgrade their supplies, no longer will children have to carry around heavy textbooks when they'd be able to download the text straight onto their iPads. Just think of how many trees would be saved thanks to that! Without having those heavy books to lug around, the only thing a kid needs in their backpack is their handy iPad and their bagged lunch. And, well, maybe an iPhone too.
